Weight Bars

A weighted bar is great for resistance training in both group fitness and personal training set up. It is perfect for strength training, flexibility and balance in conjunction with various workout programs. It provides even weight distribution for stability during exercises. A weighted bar is also known as a plate hanger and is made from an extended cylindrical bar surrounded by a revolving sleeve that is shorter than a slid bar.

Weight discs can be mounted on each side of the plate hanger by sliding the bar through the holes at the centre of the discs. The discs are secured with a clamp like in barbells. Even without the weight discs, a weighted bar helps build lean body mass and enhances muscle definition. It may come with a foam cushioned padding and colour-coded end caps indicating bar weight. A weighted bar gives a new twist to common workout routines.
